You Deserve More Than 'Everything Looks Fine'

Too many postpartum women in Boston are cleared at six weeks and sent home with no real plan — only to find that leaking, pain, prolapse, or weakness follow them for months or years. You don’t have to accept that.

Living with untreated postpartum symptoms takes a real toll — on your body, your confidence, and your ability to stay active. Whether it’s leaking when you run, pelvic pain that won’t quit, or a core that doesn’t feel like yours anymore, these are signs your body is asking for specialized care — not generic exercises and a ‘wait and see.’

Unresolved Pelvic Floor Symptoms

Leaking, urgency, prolapse, and painful intercourse are common after birth — but they’re not inevitable. Left unaddressed, they can sideline you from the running, lifting, and life you love.

Dismissed at Your 6-Week Check

A 10-minute OB visit isn’t enough to evaluate your pelvic floor, core, or return-to-exercise readiness. Many postpartum women are sent home without the answers — or the plan — they actually need.

Generic PT That Misses the Whole Picture

Hospital-based PT often means rushed, protocol-driven sessions that don’t account for your fitness goals, your birth history, or the specific demands of your postpartum body.

Real Results from Boston Patients

“When I started with Amy, I was 8 months postpartum with chronic lower back pain and a goal of running a half marathon in 5 months. I could only complete that goal with her help and guidance. She was so knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable. Every session was productive and enjoyable. I couldn’t recommend Amy and Pacer more!”

I’ve been working with Juliana at Pacer Physical Therapy for several years. When I first came in, I was dealing with chronic back pain and had seen several physical therapists without meaningful success. Juliana quickly identified the root issue and created a treatment plan that was both effective and manageable. Thanks to her, I’ve successfully trained for several half marathons, achieving personal records.

Manuel D.

Juliana was amazing to work with. She is incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable and helps you to cheer yourself on. She helped me immensely as I navigated low back pain as a result of decreased core strength from 3 pregnancies in 5 years. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Juliana.

Kenya D.

After two hip surgeries and a back surgery, I struggled with fear of another injury and severe muscle compensation issues. I have been working with Juliana since April and I have seen an incredible change in both my muscle strength and body compensation issues. She was able to identify which muscles were not activating properly and which muscles were over active. Juliana’s work has been life changing for me.

No. Massachusetts allows Direct Access to physical therapy — you can book directly with Pacer PT without a doctor’s referral. Start with a free discovery call.

Do you accept insurance?

We are an out-of-network provider, which allows us to offer longer, fully customized sessions without insurance-driven protocols. We provide superbills for possible reimbursement through your insurance’s out-of-network benefits.

Your initial evaluation is 75 minutes — giving us time to do a thorough whole-body and pelvic floor assessment. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes, always one-on-one with your PT.

Do you offer virtual postpartum physical therapy?

Yes. We offer virtual PT, virtual fitness coaching, and virtual group strength classes (Strong as a Mother with Dr. Vera), so you can access specialized pelvic health care from anywhere.

We welcome women at any stage — weeks or years after delivery. The earlier you address pelvic floor and postpartum concerns, the better your outcomes, but it is never too late to begin.

Do you treat prenatal patients as well?
