Mommy and Me Fitness Bootcamp

A 6-week bootcamp for postpartum moms >8 weeks postpartum who want guidance and support in returning to fitness post baby. Babies are welcome to join our classes (we have elevator access for strollers).

These classes are 30-minutes in duration and it is a 6-week strength training bootcamp focusing on connecting to your core, pelvic floor, and full body strength so you can feel confident working out again and caring for your little one. Modifications and variations will be given based on your fitness level. Education on how to activate your core, do a sit up, a push up, a plank, and return to jumping and running again!

Our Summer Class will start on Monday, June 10th at 12:45- 1:15 pm! Subsequent classes will held on Mondays at 12:45-1:15 pm on 6/17. 6/24, 7/8, 7/15, and 7/22,

You can join in person at Pacer Physical Therapy! (Virtual option for make up classes ONLY)

Understanding the WHY behind Low Back and Hip Discomfort

This workshop is for those who experience discomfort or get occasional flare ups in their lower back or hips; for those who have tightness in their back or hips that never really seems to ever go away no matter how much you stretch; and for those who want to understand how to maintain good joint health through all stages of life  

In this workshop at Fitlabs Pilates in Cambridge you will learn:

  • Anatomy and common reasons why you may be experiencing discomfort 
  • How your lower back and pelvis work together to give you stability and mobility
  • Screening tools to help understand if you need more stretching or more strengthening to the muscles around your hips and lower back
  • Holistic approaches to taking care of your body while continuing to attend pilates or other forms of exercise

Mothering and Moving through Discomfort 

Saturday, May 18th at 10 am at Pacer Physical Therapy

As mothers, our role as “Mom” is part of every fiber of our being, whether we work outside the home, from home, stay home to care for kids, etc. Join us to create sacred space for yourself and find a community of fellow mothers.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Reflect on the discomforts that come up for us as mothers, both the big and weighty along with the small, everyday frustrations
  • Connect with fellow mothers at all stages of motherhood
  • Move through a yoga practice including fluid flows and gentle challenges, embracing discomfort as a catalyst for growth and self-discovery

During our time together (90 minute session), we’ll highlight how periods of discomfort and transition can be both challenging and transformative. As mothers, our journey is lifelong and we are constantly “moving through the discomfort,” to become who we are meant to be
